Thanks WKYC, Betsy Kling for the weather alert update!

Hey Northeast Ohio Drivers – Weather Alert!

Buckle up—winter’s making its first big entrance this week! Here’s the latest on the conditions that could make your commute a bit more exciting than usual:

  • Thursday Weather Alert: Expect intermittent bouts of wet snow throughout the day. While it might not stick much, a slushy coating is possible in spots.
  • Thursday Night Weather Alert: This is when things get interesting! A better chance of slushy, accumulating snow is on the horizon. It won’t be a blizzard, but the season’s first accumulation is worth noting.

Friday Morning Commute: Be alert for slick roads, especially in areas hit by persistent lake effect snow. Tricky travel conditions could be the name of the game, so leave extra time to get where you’re going.

  • Friday Day: Warmer air will roll in, gradually changing the snow to lake effect rain. While that’s good news for snow shovels, it’s not so great for visibility and traction.
  • Saturday: The lake effect rain continues, accompanied by gusty winds to keep things blustery.
  • Sunday: Finally, some peace and quiet! Conditions should calm down to wrap up the weekend.

While the snow is a seasonal highlight for some, it’s the WIND and sharp temperature shifts that will pack the biggest punch. Stay cautious, plan ahead, and keep your eyes peeled for those sneaky slick spots—especially Friday morning.
